My Adventures in Argentina
|
In 1998 we
launched a project in Argentina. It is a great country
with a very exciting nature. The meat in Argentina is
probably the best all over the world.
The photo shows the open fire barbecue (Asador) in the
famous restaurant "Rancho Mayo" at the Avenida
De Mayo in Buenos Aires Capital Federal. There are a lot
of such restaurants called Parrilla.
Who ever comes to Argentina - the taste and quality of
the Bife de Lomo, Molleja, Bife de Chorizo, Chivito...
and all the other wonderful meat will be a great experience.

Buenos Aires is a
great city with an architecture similar to Europe. Here
you see the back of the Congresso, the building of
the Argentinian parliament.
The city is a mixture of the mediterranean Europe of the
early 20th century, a little old and venerable.
The people there are quite proud and reserved, it is a
little difficult to make real friends. But anyways it is
enjoyable to visit Buenos Aires.
I would recommend to all visitors to stay in the Imperial Park Hotel - good service and nice
rooms in the heart of the capital.

Of course I found
good friends in Argentina. My best friend there is Christian, an excellent
telecommuncations engineer and reliable colleague. The
roots of his family are in Germany, so he could help me
to overcome my handicap with the Spanish language.
We spent a lot of time together and I could enjoy
wonderful Asado celebrations at his home. Here you can
see him preparing a strange speciality - Chinchulines.
These are intestine of a baby calf grilled without
removing the natural contents. I know - it sounds strange, but it tastes really good...
